You crave high altitudes. A bit of brisk winter snow. Small town atmosphere. World class cuisine. You want to bump into celebrities walking around the corner or catch a glimpse of them sitting in an off-the-street cafe on Main.
It kind of sounds as if you’d enjoy the 2012 edition of the Sundance Film Festival currently bustling about in Park City, Utah.
But! You can’t get there. Work commitments have you “ball and chained” to your office cubicle. Your wife will be dog-goned if you up and take off without her. The driveway needs shoveling. No cash. Too long of a drive to get there. More.
You’re doomed! The festival will pass you by and you’ll have missed it!
Luckily there’s a solution to satisfy your craving … and from the comfort of your own home without any of the bothersomeness!
The lovely and gracious folks at Yahoo have provided 9 of the festival’s short films for your viewing pleasure, assuring you access to at least part of the festivities.
So … grab a gourmet bucket of popcorn, plop yourself in your favorite comfy chair with a Mountain Dew and enjoy the shows.
You didn’t mention the dates of the festival. How can I make travel plans, or even decide which excuse to use for not being there, without the dates?
Every once in a while, the local “artsy” theater has a short films night. Few people get to see them on the big screen.
