As the summer movie season comes to an end, the home video releases are picking up a bit this week with two early summer releases coming home on August 28th. Nicolas Sparks and Zac Efron fans can check out The Lucky One (and be sure to read Ivey’s review of the film), while those who stayed away from board game-turned-movie Battleship (which I felt was unfairly maligned — and you can check out Jeremy’s review for his opinion, as well as his interview with director Peter Berg), can check it out in the privacy of their own homes (no one has to know). There are also some smaller films that may have bypassed your local cineplex, as well as more movies from the Warner Archives and the Criterion Collection.
