I have to give it to Sandra Oh. Whenever I start thinking I’m getting tired of Grey’s Anatomy, she reminds me just what an amazing actress she is. Her performances alone are worth it for me to keep watching.
I was just utterly horrified watching Owen’s PTSD take over and cause him to nearly choke Christina to death, and her reaction after he let go. Consider my disbelief suspended. Although in the interest of full disclosure, choking/strangulation has to be my biggest phobia, so no real surprise there.
I’m so glad that Owen decided to get treatment in the end, although I don’t understand why it took Christina breaking up with him to do it. Did he really think she could go on for very long with the possibility of him actually killing her? It doesn’t matter whether he does it on purpose or not. The point is, he can’t control himself and he needs help. Better late than never, I guess.
What I can’t decide now is whether or not I’d like to see them get back together. My first instinct is that they should, because they really seem to love each other. When I think further on it, though, part of me wonders if Christina is so attracted to him because he’s a broken man. Would she still want him if he were to get his issues in check? I have a feeling Owen is going to get his heart broken again.
It’s a touchy subject, and there’s no easy answer. People are complicated, to say the least. I have to say, Grey’s Anatomy seems to really be getting itself back on track with its characterization, and it makes the show all that much more enjoyable.

Honestly, while I don’t mind them together, to me the whole thing felt rushed and artificial. I don’t even know how it happened…it just did. Eh – I guess every person has to be paired with someone in Shonda’s world. Singles must suck major ass in her eyes, as would the possibility of any of them dating outside their tribe. Its a bit inbred there these days. Too bad.
I think Cristina must love te guy because to be Cristina she’s taking a lot from him, whilst she could scarcely put up with Burke and his Mamma… at least he didn’t try to kill her… he didn’t have strange mental issues… and she had all kinds of problems with him.. with Owen however it seems like she would walk down the aisle right now and he has all these issues… mmm… I think this girl likes broken people, just look at her best friend, dark and twisty Meredith.. so yep I think Owen is what she likes but I’m glad she’s given him the no-no – he’s been in denial for a long time, maybe now he’s realised he doesn’t want to lose the only person that really KNOWS him
