You will either find Legend of the Seeker‘s “Seekers of Love” contest creepy or utterly hilarious. I’m going with the latter. The contest challenges fans to win the heart of Richard, Kahlan, Cara, or Darken Rahl. Zedd explains in a video that these four have fallen under a powerful love spell and each must find their perfect match. “Could it be you?” he suggests. To enter the contest, simply upload a humiliating video of yourself professing passionate love for your favorite character.
You can watch Richard, Kahlan, Cara, and Darken Rahl describe what they are looking for in an ideal mate. All four videos are a riot, but Rahl’s is my favorite. “You do realize who you’ve chosen, don’t you?” he asks, glowering with palpable disdain into the camera.
Even more entertaining — you can watch the video entries that have already been uploaded. At the end of each entry is a response from Richard, Kahlan, Cara, or Rahl, indicating whether the love spell has been broken or not. These contest entries are fantastic — I pretty much died laughing. Even if you don’t enter the contest, do check out the videos.
The prize, by the way, is a set of five limited edition, poster-size prints, autographed by the Seeker cast: Craig Horner, Bridget Regan, Bruce Spence, Tabrett Bethell, and Craig Parker.
