TV SHOWS COLUMNS FEATURES CHATS QUESTIONS

Saturday Night Live – James Franco / Muse

This week’s episode started out promising, but it ended off in the traditional SNL way, with sketches that are either outright not funny or just come out as “meh.” It was strange that the episode actually ran a little longer than usual, and with what I think might have been a pre-recorded sketch. No post-episode […]

Robot Chicken season four on DVD: the best clips

First we had the giveaway for Robot Chicken season four on DVD (winners notified very soon!), and now I’ve had the chance to review it. Veronica Mars – CliqueClack Flashback

Flashback: Fall, 2005.  Zoom in on a younger version of me and you’d find someone who never watched television. Well, not never,  but never anything on primetime. CBS wants you to have a very merry prostate exam

Take, for instance, the PSAs for the CBS Cares project. The title of these short videos — Prostate PSA Holidays. No, I’m serious! It says so at the CBS Cares video site! In this series of 10-second shorts, stars of various CBS shows ask you to celebrate the holidays by signing your man up for a prostate exam. . There’s one for generic holidays, one for Christmas, and one for Hanukkah. Strangely, there’s no PSA for Kwanza or Festivus. Though, the scene of a bare metal pole would probably send shivers up a strong man’s spine.

Lost season five Blu-ray DVD review

Let’s face it — Lost is one of those shows: there aren’t many  people wavering on whether or not to buy the DVD. Chances are, if you’re a fan, you’re going to be buying the DVD or begging a friend or loved one to buy it for you. Luckily, ABC was kind enough to release […]
