An exciting week found personal records being set on cable (‘Pawn Stars’) and broadcast (‘NCIS’). In not so happy news, the return of full schedules didn’t do any favors for NBC’s Thursday comedies, or FOX’s ‘Fringe’.
It was a bit of a slow week with President Obama again bringing mayhem to your regularly scheduled programming. The highlight in all of it was the NFL once again flexing its considerable ratings muscles. Over on cable, week two was not kind to MTV’s ‘Skins’.
‘Bob’s Burgers’ second effort gets better and more outrageous than the first. I’m intrigued by the blond man on the roller skates in nothing but his underwear.
It’s the grand re-re-re opening of Bob’s Burgers, complete with extra fries and a heavy dollop of mirth and merriment. Plus! No human flesh was used in the writing of this review.
A short week heading into the new year finds sets from ‘Archer’, ‘Battlestar Galactica’, ‘United States Of Tara’, ‘Peanuts’, ‘River Monsters’, and ‘Jersey Shore’.
A man, his family and a re-re-re-re-re-grand opening of a burger joint. This is one new animated series you need to put on your calendar for January.
Daylight savings kicked in and knocked ‘Chuck’, and a number of different shows, for a loop. Meanwhile, over on cable, premieres for ‘Justified’ and ‘South Park’ set some very high marks.
