It was a rather quiet week in the ratings as we made our way into July. The networks were par for the course and the big news on cable was the decided lack of viewers for Showtime’s ‘L-Word’ spinoff.
With summer officially starting, the week brought more premieres from ABC, and over on cable. The news was good for some (‘Rookie Blue’, ‘Futurama’, ‘Memphis Beat’), and not so good for others (‘Scoundrels’, ‘Boston Med’).
Going into the second season of ‘HawthoRNe,’ the Jada Pinkett Smith-helmed drama, I held moderate hopes. Truly I did.
Recent shows with sets this week include ‘Sanctuary’, ‘Family Guy’, ‘Secret Life’, ‘American Dad’, and ‘Hawthorne’. For classics, we have ‘My Three Sons’, Leave It To Beaver’, and ‘Lucy’.

It’s another week where the ratings news from cable is much more interesting than anything happening on the networks. The big story was the premiere of Project Runway (finally) on Lifetime, but there was plenty more fun to be had.
