While the season finale closed some doors and opened others, it was one of the least powerful episodes of the season. Luckily, the last 10 minutes brought it home for me. Whew!
The Glades put forth another case this week that bled into the personal relationship of Jim Longworth and Callie Cargill. If I had any doubt that this was really a show about their relationship, it was laid to rest this week when A&E put out a call to find out if we’re on Team Jim or Team Ray.
A floater brings Jim and Callie into the cutthroat world of shipwreck salvage and and one of the most adventurous and romantic themes known to women: pirates, illicit love and sunken treasure.
Episodes ago, when Jim said he was an expert in all things homicidal, he wasn’t being arrogant. He was letting us know he lacked expertise in all other areas of his life. Being stuck between Callie and Josie drove that point home.
Did you catch the pilot of ‘The Glades’ tonight? If so, has it caught your attention? If not, will you be giving it a shot? Like I say, if you’re into ‘Castle’ and would be interested in more of that with a different setting, give it a go.
