Welcome to CliqueClack’s guide for the 2009-10 fall season! Or, in the case of NBC, The Great Experiment. Now, if you didn’t realize it already, this fall season is going to be different from past years. First, there’s no ER, which will feel a little weird. Second, Lost will be ending its run in the spring of 2010. Third, American Idol will be without Paula Abdul. And finally, Jay Leno is going to come into your homes at 10 PM each night and try to convince you that scripted programming is dead.

Once this season pans out, that may or may not be the case on the big Four and a Quarter networks. With so many viewers moving to other venues of original, scripted programming like cable and the Internet, the networks are fighting for life … again. Well, NBC and ABC probably are: CBS and FOX are doing okay for the time being. So, the big question is whether or not they can come back with ambitious programs like Flash Forward, comedies like Hank and The Middle, which feature known stars, remakes like Parenthood and Melrose Place, and Chevy Chase?

Only time and ratings will tell. In the meantime, CliqueClack TV is here to present you with the most comprehensive premiere schedule on the Internet.  Something that you will come back to time and time again to peruse in order to plan your day. Just be aware that dates and times of these premieres may change at the whim of a network executive with too much gas. Now, without further typing…

So ER dies and a half dozen other medical show pop up to take it’s place? I’ll stick to House and Scrubs.

August 25, 2009 at 11:30 AM

Sure. There’s ‘Mercy’, which is ‘ER’ without the fast-paced action, and ‘Trauma’, which is ‘ER’ with plenty of explosions. Probably should’ve kept ‘ER’ with a new cast. It would have brought in more viewers.

Not a big deal but Rihanna is spelled with two N’s. (Jay Leno item)

You forgot Greek Season 3 starts August 31 on ABC Family.

The establishment likes to hate on or super-awesome shows. They’re the only ones who lose out! ;)

Great Work Rich.

Could you maybe add a timezone to the Calendar? Currently it’s at GMT +0 which results in all the items showing up at the right time as long as you live at the US East Coast – resulting in all 8pm shows to show up in my calendar as starting at 2am (which is technically right since EST is 6 hours behind) but I wonder if that would adjust to the “right” times, meaning they’d show up at 8pm, if a timezone is added to the calendar.

I’m using Google Calendar for this by the way and just wanted to point out that you can simply add this calendar as a friend’s calendar in Google calendar.

Calendar! ;-)

Again, awesome… calendar. Thanks a ton :-)

great stuff, thank you :)

September 20, 2009 at 1:37 AM

So, what I am seeing here is that NBC traded in a bunch of old shows for new ones that are the same as the ones they cancel except they get rid of the good ones like “ER” and “Life” why can’t they just leave things alone.

Please keep this going! I use it all the time to see what shows I missed yesterday… then watch them online! :) Thanks for all your hard work. Take care.

October 27, 2009 at 9:45 PM

I might be dense (out of the loop?), but I don’t understand why NCIS on 10/27/09 was a rerun? I thought the new season had started! Will someone, please, enlighten me? Thanks.

October 28, 2009 at 10:36 AM

If you look at the whole schedule this week, a lot of shows are taking a week or two off before November Sweeps start. Its standard fare.

October 28, 2009 at 8:57 PM

Thanks! I guess I “should” have thought of that! Makes sense.
