It’s all up to you. If you are a fan of Jim Henson’s unique monster puppets, The Muppet Show or Sesame Street, then these little tidbits are going to appeal to you. Heck, you might just make someone’s Christmas.
First thing’s first — hop on over to The Muppet Whatnot Workshop at FAO Schwarz, and design your own Muppet. There are so many choices of eyes, hair and outfits — why not create your own likeness? Or a crazed fan that is on your Christmas buying list? One thing’s for sure, they’ll never get a gift like this one again. For $90.00, it isn’t a bad deal to give something so unique. What do you mean, we’re in a recession? So chip in with the whole family and get one for dad … it’ll be good for some Christmas morning laughs.
If you love Sesame Street, apparently you’re not alone. The 35th season of the children’s show debuted on iTunes this month, and Muppets all around the world are celebrating. What? You mean the Muppets aren’t real? Well, parents are celebrating then because they can now stick their kids in front of Sesame Street on long car rides. Hey, it’s something.
Hm.
On Christmas Eve I saw a girl-couple. One of them made two muppets for christmas for the both of them. They used them all night and to be honest I was too afraid to talk to them because the muppet had a life of its own.
Met them three weeks later at another disco. Muppets, or better any handpuppet, if made that excellent, are insanely cool. The second time I saw them I finally shook the puppets hand and like Sarah Chalke said you actually start interacting with the muppet/puppet instead of the animator/actor with the hand in it. It’s bizzare. Totally loved the experience and was insanely envious of that christmas gift (it was one, we give our presents on the 24th).
I was wondering when you’d write about this, shuffled through the blogroll the other day and saw why you didn’t write for a couple of days. Have fun with your muppet :-)
