Michael: Well … it appears we have our good buddy and fellow compatriot Chuck Duncan to thank for getting this edition of CommercialClack rockin’ and rollin’, so to speak.
Tara: Good ole Chuck. He’s ever vigilant for us. This first spot from Stanley Steemer that he sent along is hilarious …
Tara: He even “metalizes” the jingle!
Michael: In days gone by, I have been the husband in the above commercial. And in many ways, I still am. *heheheheheh*
Tara: Ew. What do you think the spot is?!? Wait … don’t tell me. I’m happier not knowing your thoughts on it.
Michael: Well … you’re getting’em anyway. The way I figure it, it’s a clear-cut case for the likes of a “Mystery Shopper” … only with stains and spots. Very Sherlock Holmesian …
Tara: Whoever wrote these is definitely a nerd. But in a good way. And that actor is perfect.
Michael: You know, as I got into these Stanley Steemer commercials, they really resonated with me. Irreverent humor, dashing spokesman, nifty little 30 second stories. I’m glad you get them.
Tara: Of course I “get them.” I ain’t dumb. In this one? The kids pushing them in the shopping cart as a reward makes me chortle. It must have been a blast filming these.
Michael: Agreed.
Tara: That’s a good one to end with! In fact … I just laid down and listened to my grout. It told me it dreams of being in Bruce Springsteen’s house instead.
Michael: Suddenly, I’m disturbed …
Thanks for the shout out! Sometimes there are commercials that I just can’t fast forward through! And those are the ones that make me think of you guys!
I love these commercials. They are so funny.
